I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in NYC. StayPineapple was a fantastic hotel and I have only positive things to say. You must check-out at 12, but if you leave later, you can have your luggage stored. There is 24 hour staffing at the reception. The staff was very helpful with recommendations, printing of boarding passes, booking of shuttle etc. Again at 4.00pm there were muffins, coffee or juice. But every morning from 7:00 am there was coffee and pastry at the reception. My booking was without breakfast – which is normal for most hotels. The details were meticulous and I loved the sign to hang on the door. The room had it all and I couldn’t put a finger on anything. Nice ceramic sink and thick luxury towels. The window could be opened a bit and there were dark curtains.Ī small and nice detail, I think, was the light below the bed and that zebra carpet.Īlso the bathroom was really nice, with spacious shower and a large shower head. Large 50″ flat screen with all American channels. 3 slightly smaller cupboards where one of them contained a coffee / tea brewer with capsules, as well as 2 bottles of water. Bedside tables on each side of the bed where a worktop could be pulled out and used as a desk.Ī wardrobe with hangers and safety box with plenty of space for, among other things, a laptop. A large and nice bed with comfortable mattress and nice, soft bedding. I was very excited about the room, because most comments on hotel rooms in NYC are that are very small and out worn. Every detail was perfect – lobby, desk, elevator and welcoming people. Check-in was quick and I was assigned a room on the 23rd floor (I had requested a room upstairs – I got that).Įven before I got to my room, I could clearly sense that my hotel choice was spot on. The lobby and reception were really nice and the staff sweet and welcoming. So it ended up being a really good price.Įarly in the evening I arrived at the hotel with my “shared shuttle” from JFK airport. From (affiliate link) I had Rewards (affiliate link) from previous booking, which could be deducted by DKK 2,000, – It had good reviews and a price of approx. I ended up booking StayPineapple (affiliate link) which was located in Midtown. The price for 5 nights should be a maximum of DKK 6,000, – My criteria was that the hotel should have a location which made it easy to walk to most places. And if you do not know the areas, it is difficult to assess where the hotel is located. Most reviews are just as bad as prices are soaring. As a first-time visitor, it was almost beyond comprehension. It took a long time to find a hotel in New York.
